Job Copilot — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026 (version 1.2)

Summary

Job Copilot does not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal data. Everything you enter stays in your own browser.

What the extension stores

This data is saved with the browser's built-in extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. It is not synced to any server operated by the developer, and the developer has no access to it.

How the data is used

Your data is used only to fill job application forms when you click Autofill (or use the keyboard shortcut), and — once you have pressed Autofill on an application — to fill the following steps of that same application, and to keep your list of applications. The extension reads the labels of form fields on the page to decide which of your details belongs in each field. When it fills a form, the information goes only to that form on the website you are applying to — exactly as if you had typed it yourself. The extension never submits a form for you.

Resume files are read on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere by the extension, except into an application form's upload field when you choose to autofill.

What the extension does not do

Donations

The “Buy me a coffee” button opens the developer's donation page in a new tab. Any payment happens on that third-party site under its own privacy policy; the extension does not send it any of your data.

Deleting your data

Open the extension, go to Settings → Delete all data, or simply uninstall the extension. Both remove everything it stored.
